Our opening seminar on BBC Persian Service News

We are pleased to invite each of you to attend the book launch for Ahmed Rashid’s Descent Into Chaos on June 30th, at 6.30pm. We are very fortunate to have the BBC’s Lyse Doucet chairing the evening, and this will also be a good opportunity to meet with Ahmed Rashid and discuss his work during a Question & Answer period as well as during the reception afterward. You will be able to purchase a copy of Descent Into Chaos that evening.

The book launch is being held in the Edmond J. Safra Lecture Theatre at the Strand Campus of King’s College London. The event and the reception are free and open to the public.

The ASG is co-hosting this event with the LSE Crisis States Research Centre, the LSE Centre of Civil Society, the British and Irish Agencies Afghanistan Group, the Afghanistan Study Group, King’s College London Department of Geography and Penguin Books Ltd. Please see below for further details and the event flyer. I hope to see many of you there. It should be an interesting evening with some dynamic discussions, we imagine!
